Kirab Budaya Dan Batik 2013

Dalam rangka melestarikan seni budaya di Kabupaten Cirebon serta meningkatkan pembangunan di bidang kebudayaan dan kesenian Cirebon, pada Sabtu, 30 Maret 2013 dilaksanakan Kirab Budaya Cirebon dan batik. Kirab mengambil start di depan Makodim 0620 Cirebon dengan mengambil rute jalan Fatahilah, jalan Sultan Agung, jalan Dewi Sartika,  jalan Pangeran Kejaksan dan berakhir di Lapangan Pataraksa Sumber melalui jalan Sunan Drajat. Kirab diikuti 200 peserta karnaval terdiri dari perwakilan dinas intansi, lembaga, seniman, aparat kecamatan, aparat desa se-Kabupoaten Cirebon.

Hadir pada acara  tersebut Bupati Cirebon beserta jajarannya, Muspida Kabupaten Cirebon, para undangan serta masyarakat luas.

Pada kesempatan tersebut Bupati Cirebon mengatakan bahwa dalam rangka hari jadi Kabupaten Cirebon yang ke-531 digelar berbagai kesenian dan kebudayaan yang ada di Kabupaten Cirebon dengan maksud agar kebudayaan dan kesenian khas Cirebon tetap bisa lestari hidup di Kabupaten Cirebon sehingga anak cucu kita dapat mengetahui betapa hebatnya kesenian dan kebudayaan nenek moyangnya, yang tidak kalah dengan kesenian-kesenian dari luar negeri. Mengingat hal tersebut, Bupati meminta kepada dinas terkait agar dalam peserta karnaval ini terdapat para generasi muda, dimana nantinya seniman muda inilah yang akan menggantikan para seniman yang telah sepuh, sehingga pada akhirnya seni budaya yang ada di Kabupaten Cirebon bisa hidup seperti sekarang dan tetap lestari di Kabupaten Cirebon bahkan harus bisa menjadi duta seni yang mewakili Kabupaten Cirebon.

Kegiatan tersebut dilanjutkan dengan pelaksanaan carnaval serta devile di depan podium kehormatan.
