Dalam rangka Peningkatan Pengumpulan Zakat di Kabupaten Cirebon baik zakat fitrah, zakat mal dan zakat profesi maka Badan Amil Zakat Nasional Kabupaten Cirebon mengadakan Sosialisasi Pengumpulan Zakat dengan tujuan Peningkatan hasil Pengumpulan Zakat demi kemaslakatan dan Kesejahteraan umat yang dilaksakan pada tanggal 16 Januari 2014 bertempat di Aula Kantor Bazkab.
Hadir dalam rapat Sekretaris Daerah, Drs. H. Dudung Mulyana, M.Si, anggota Baznas Kabupaten Cirebon serta sejumlah undangan lainnya.
Ketua Baznas Kabupaten Cirebon, Drs.Dr Mujadi S.Ag Ketua Baznas Nasional melaporkan pengumpulan dana zakat di Kabupaten Cirebon belum tergali secara maksimal dikarenakan ada berbagai kendala bahkan Kecamatan Pasaleman tidak mengirimkan sama sekali hasil pengumpulan zakatnya dan ini merupakan Pekerjaan kita semua.
Ketua Pengawas Baznas Kabupaten Cirebon, Drs..H. Rhokimi mengatakan bahwa berbagai program yang menyentuh ke masyarakat seperti rutilahu, pemberian sembako pada masyarakat serta lainnya perlu ditingkatkan baik segi kualitas maupun kuantitas sehingga dapat memberikan respon kepada masyarakat untuk menyalurkan zakatnya melalui Baznas Kabupaten Cirebon.
Kepala Kementerian Agama Kabupaten Cirebon menghimbau kepada seluruh masyarakat dan pemerintah agar dapat menyalurkan zakatnya melalui Baznas dan mewajibkan kepada jajaran Kemenag agar dapat menyalurkan zakatnya melalui Baznas bukan hanya sekedar infaq yakni berbagai program kemasyarakatan yang telah direncanakan dapat terealisasikan.
H. Dudung Mulyana, M.Si sebagai Ketua Dewan Penasehat Baznas mengatakan bahwa berbagai program yang dilaksanakan oleh Baznas dari dana hasil pengumpulan zakat telah dituangkan dengan berbagai program kemasyarakatan sangat menyentuh sekali dan perlu dikembangkan seperti rutilahu, ,bantuan bencana, pengadaan alat peribadatan serta santunan kepada orang yang kurang beruntung, sedangkan .untuk kendala dalam pengumpiulan dana zakat diharapkan semua jajaran Pemerintah Daerah harus ikut serta bertanggung jawab sehingga kendala tersebut dapat segera diatasi dan pengumpulan hasil zakat tahun ini dapat meningkat serta akan kembali diterima oleh yang berhak menerima dengan sempurna.
