Dalam rangka persiapan peringatan Hari Ulang Tahun Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia ke-68 tahun 2013, Kamis (15/08/2013) malam, di ruang Nyimas Gandasari dilangsungkan pengukuhan Paskibraka Kabupaten Cirebon oleh Wakil Bupati Cirebon, H. Ason Sukasa, SmHk. Adapun tujuan dari pengukuhan tersebut agar Paskibraka mempunyai kesiapan, percaya diri dan lebih memiliki rasa nasionalisme dan kebangsaan pada Negara Republik Indonesia.
Pada kesempatan tersebut hadir Muspida Kabupaten Cirebon, Ketua Tim penggerak PKK Kabupaten Cirebon, kepala dinas terkait, TNI, para kepala sekolah serta orang tua dari anggota Paskibraka.
Kepala Disbudparpora H. Asdullah melaporkan pembinaan Paskibraka ini dimulai dari bulan April dengan melibatkan tiga unsur pembimbing yaitu unsur Disbudparpora, unsur TNI (Yon Arhanud 14) dan unsur alumnus Paskibraka, tujuan bimbingan ini agar para Paskibraka mempunyai dedikasi yang tinggi serta mempunyai wawasan kenegeraan yang baik serta berkepribadian bangsa.
Wakil Bupati Cirebon pada sambutannya mengatakan Paskibraka yang baru saja dikukuhkan agar senantiasa menjunjung tinggi kehormatan, harkat dan martabat bangsa dan negara serta selalu membawa nama baik daerahnya. Perlu diketahui bersama para Paskibraka dibina dan ditempa dengan berbagai wawasan kebangsaan agar tertanam pada diri masing-masing rasa pratiotisme serta dalam melaksanakan tugasnya nanti penuh dengan rasa tanggung jawab dan dedikasi yang tinggi.
Kegiatan tersebut diakhiri dengan pemberian ucapan selamat dari para hadirin dan pejabat.
