Merupakan kebanggaan Putera Daerah Kabupaten Cirebon yang berprestasi dalam bidang pengolahan garam tradisional yang kini mampu menerobos pasar nasional yaitu bapak Sanusi yang merupakan Putera asli dari Desa Ambulu Kecamatan Losari, Selasa (06/05/2014).
Melalui kemampuannya berinovasi ini bisa menghasilkan Teknologi Ulir Filterisasi dengan kemampuan alat ini sehingga produksi garam bisa sejajar dengan pasar garam nasional, hal tersebut mendapat perhatian dari pengusaha nasional yang berani untuk bekerjasama dengan Pengusaha Daerah.
Hal ini juga sangat disambut baik oleh Pemerintah Daerah dan mendapat perhatian dari bapak Bupati Cirebon Drs. Sunjaya Purwadi MM.M.Si yang langsung menghadiri acara MoU Jual Beli Garam dan pengiriman perdana antara bapak Sanusi pemilik PT. Mutiara Aras dengan PT. IDORAMA dan PT. PASIFIC untuk pengiriman perdana ini untuk PT. TARAKO Jakarta
Dalam sambutannya, Bupati menyampaikan bahwa Kabupaten Cirebon memiliki potensi Sumber Daya Alam (SDA) untuk sektor kelautan yang dapat dikembangkan dan memiliki garis pantai 45 km, Penangkapan ikan dengan armada 4.050 unit serta jumlah nelayan 21.557 orang.
Dari budidaya ikan dan udang dengan luas tambak 7.500 Ha dengan jumlah petambak 7.561 orang dan luas kolam 784 Ha dengan jumlah pembudidaya 12.321 orang. Pengolahan dan pemasaran hasil perikanan dengan jumlah unit sebanyak 2.000 dengan jumlah pengelolah 5.649 orang, serta garam rakyat dengan luas lahan 4.000 Ha dengan jumlah petambak garam 8.345 orang.
Dengan adanya Program Pemberdayaan Usaha Garam Rakyat (PUGAR) pelaku usaha telah memproduksi garam Tahun 2011 sebanyak 148.006 ton dengan produktivitas 91.98 ton/musim, Tahun 2012 sebanyak 289.581 ton dengan produktivitas 99.13 ton/musim, Tahun 2013 sebanyak 184.046 ton dengan produktivitas 38.65 ton/musim selama 2 bulan/musim.
Stok garam pada masyarakat sampai akhir April 2014 sebanyak 5.600 ton produksi Tahun 2013 sebanyak 184.046 ton tersebut dapat menyumbang 17.7% dari produksi nasional (1.041.472.55), hal ini merupakan hasil kerja keras para pelaku usaha garam dengan menggunakan teknologi anjuran, seprti teknologi ulir filterisasi (TUF), Isolator ( terpal/plastik) dan pencucian garam.
Acara tersebut diakhiri dengan rama tamah dan pelepasan pengiriman perdana yang dihadiri oleh Bapak Wakil Bupati Cirebon Bapak H. Tasiya Soemadi, Muspida dan Muspika setempat.
