Puncak peringatan Hari Kebangkitan Nasional tahun 2013 ditandai dengan pelaksanaan upacara bendera yang dilaksanakan di Lapang Ranggajati Sumber pada Senin, 20 Mei 2013 dengan Pembina Upacara Wakil Bupati Cirebon.
Apel tersebut diikuti oleh Korpri, Angkatan Laut, TNI Polri, Ormas, pelajar, anggota PKK, Darma Wanita, serta sejumlah undangan lainnya.
Wakil Bupati Cirebon H. Ason Sukasa, SmHk membacakan amanat Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika yang mengatakan bahwa dewasa ini kebutuhan akan informasi semakin meningkat bahkan semakin dibutuhkan oleh publik, maka dari itu diharapkan dengan adanya Hari Kebangkitan Nasional yang ke-105 tahun 2013, kita sebagai aparat dan pelayan masyarakat agar dapat meningkatkan pelayanan serta mengoptimalisasikan informasi kepada masyarakat sehingga masyarakat mengerti serta memahami tentang keadaan dunia. Diharapkan momentum peringatan hari kebangkitan nasional dapat menumbuh kembangkan jiwa nasiomalisme dan menghargai perjuangan para pahlawan yang gigih merebut kemerdekaan dari tangan penjajah.
Acara dilanjutkan dengan pembacaan Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 dan Pancasila serta diakhiri dengan doa.
