Kamis tanggal 27 September 2012 yang bertempat di ruangan rapat BKPP Wilayah III Propinsi Jawa Barat dilaksanakan Rapat Pelaksanaan Kegiatan Pengelolaan Informasi Publik yang dihadiri oleh Para Pejabat Pengelola Informasi dan Dokumentasi se- Wilayah III Cirebon, Kantor Bappeda Kota/Kabupaten, Kabag Humas Kota Cirebon dan Diskominfo Provinsi Jawa Barat.
Rapat tersebut dibuka oleh Kepala BKPP Wilayah III Cirebon, Drs. H. Ano Sutrisno, MM. Dalam sambutannya Kepala BKPP mengemukakan bahwa keterbukaan informasi publik bukan keterbukaan yang seluas-luasnya namun ada batasannya, bukan hanya yang menyangkut rahasia negara di pusat, tapi kerahasiaan negara tingkat kota dan kabupaten juga merupakan rahasia negara yang wajib kita jaga.
Yang menjadi narasumber pada rapat tersebut yaitu dari Diskominfo Kabupaten Kuningan, Diskominfo Kabupaten Indramayu, Diskominfo Kabupaten Cirebon, Dishubkominfo Kota Cirebon. Keempat narasumber tersebut memaparkan tentang Pejabat Pengelola Informasi Dokumentasi (PPID) sampai sejauh mana perkembangannya di daerah masing-masing.
Dari Kabupaten/Kota yang hadir, Kabupaten Cirebon sudah mempunyai Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Cirebon Nomor 14 Tahun 2011 tentang Keterbukaan Informasi Publik (KIP) serta Keputusan Bupati Cirebon Nomor 042/kep.536-Diskominfo/2011 tentang Penunjukan Pejabat Pengelolah Informasi dan Dokumentasi Pada Unit Kerja Dilingkup Pemerintah Kabupaten Cirebon.
Rapat tersebut bertujuan untuk menyamakan persepsi dan kesepahaman informasi yang terbuka buat publik dan informasi yang dikecualikan agar supaya tidak terjadi ketidaksepahaman sesama anggota KPID Jawa Barat.
