Sebagai dasar pertimbangan penentu awal Ramadhon dan Syawal 2014 di kabupaten Cirebon Kementerian Agama Kabupaten Cirebon, Kamis (05/06/2014) telah dilaksanakan kegiatan Sosialisaii Hisab Rukyat bertempat di Hotel Victory, jalan Tuparev Cirebon. Kegiatan tersebut bertujuan untuk memberikan pelayanan kepada masyarakat dalam menentukan awal ramadhan dan awal syawal, sehingga masyarakat tidak merasa terombang ambing.
Pada kesempatan tersebut Ketua Panitia H.Sambas dari Kementerian Agama Kabupaten Cirebon mengatakan sosialisasi Hisab Rukyat dimaksudkan untuk menentukan perhitungan jatuhnya awal Ramadhon dan awal Syawal dalam rangka peningkatan pelayanan kepada masyarakat. Selain itu sebagai sarana penampung pendapat dari berbagai kalangan dalam rangka menentukan awal ramadhan dan awal Syawal dan telah ditentulkan untuk tempat pengambilan hisabnya dipantai gebang pada 27 Juni mendatang.
Kepala Kementerian Agama Kabupaten Cirebon H Maskur pada sambutannya mengatakan sosialisasi hisab dimaksudkan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan wawasan kepada masyarakat luas bagaimana peliknya dalam menentukan awal puasa dan awal syawa,l selain itu sebagai sarana peningkatan pembangunan mental masyarakat, sehingga masyarakat mengerti akan tata cara penentuan hisab rukyat dan pada kesempatan ini diharapkan kepada seluruh peserta sosialisasi agar dapat mengikuti apa yang disampaikan oleh nara sumber kita baik dari Badan Meteorologi, Kementerian Agama maupun dari Boscha Jawa Barat yang pada akhirnya nanti dalam pelaksanaan penentuan hisab rukyat kita semua dapat menyatukan persepsi, pendapat maupun kajiannya, sehingga apa yang akan kita berikan kepada masyarakat merupakan hasil yang terbaik.
Hadir pada kesempatan tersebut, Jajaran Kabag kesra, Jajaran Kementerian Agama, Ormas Islam dan Ulama serta peserta sosialisasi sebanyak 20 orang.
