Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Kabupaten Cirebon menggelar sosialisasi Undang-undang No. 14 Tentang Keterbukaan Informasi Publik (KIP) bagi Organisasi Masyarakat (Ormas) di Kabupaten Cirebon, Kamis (28/08/2014) berlangsung di Victory Hotel, Jalan Tuparev Cirebon.
Kegiatan ini diikuti dari berbagai Ormas Kepemudaan, Kesenian dan Oramas lainnya yang secara resmi dibuka oleh Kepala Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Kabupaten Cirebon Drs. H. Hartono, MM.
Dalam sambutannya, Kadis Kominfo mengatakan ada Empat elemen yang sangat penting dalam memahami keberadaan undang-undang keterbukaan informasi publik sebagai landasan hukum, yakni: 1. hak setiap orang untuk memperoleh informasi; 2. kewajiban Badan Publik menyediakan dan melayani permintaan informasi secara cepat, tepat waktu, biaya proporsional dan cara sederhana; 3. pengecualian bersifat tegas dan terbatas; dan 4. kewajiban Badan Publik untuk mengatur sistem dokumentasi dan pelayanan informasi.
H. Hartono menjelaskan dengan adanya Keterbukaan Informasi Publik melalui mekanisme dan pelaksanaan prinsip keterbukaan diharapkan dapat mempercepat perwujudan Pemerintahan yang terbuka atau transparan dan akuntabilitas yang tinggi, dimana merupakan upaya strategis mencegah praktik Korupsi, Kolusi, dan Nepotisme (KKN) serta terciptanya Good Governance atau Pemerintahan yang baik.
Melalui sosialisasi ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan wawasan dalam mengimplementasikan Undang-Undang Keterbukaan Informasi Publik serta pelayanan informasi khususnya mengenai permohonan informasi publik dari masyarakat secara cepat, tepat dan sederhana
Kepala Bidang Sarana Komunikasi dan Diseminasi Informasi (SKDI) Diskominfo Waryono, SE selaku panitia penyelenggara mengatakan bahwa maksud diselenggarakannya kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan wawasan, pengetahuan dan memberikan pemahaman bagi Ormas dalam implementasi Undang-Undang Keterbukaan Informasi Publik dan pelayanan Informasi Publik
Sedangkan tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang Undang-Undang Keterbukaan Informasi Publik bagi Ormas, meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang tata cara, prosedur pelayanan informasi, dan proses penyelesaian sengketa Informasi Publik.
