ayasan Beringin Bhakti (YBB) menggelar Lokakarya Penilaian (Assessment Workshop) Dwi Windu UU RI No. 4 Tahun 1997 dan sekaligus memperingati Hari Ulang Tahun YBB ke-32, Rabu (27/08/2014) yang secara resmi dibuka oleh Bupati Cirebon Drs. H. Sunjaya Purwadi Sastra, MM. M.Si bertempat di Aula Yayasan Beringin Bhakti Gang. Mangga Desa Kepongpongan Kecamatan Talun Kabupaten Cirebon.
Bupati Cirebon mengatakan kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mewujudkan masyarakat yang adil dan makmur, dimana para penyandang cacat juga adalah sebagai anak-anak kita yang sudah diamanatkan oleh Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 bahwa anak-anak kita juga harus mempunyai aspek kehidupan yaitu tentang pendidikan, oleh karena itu tidak terkecuali penyandang cacat serta disabilitas sebagai bagian untuk perkembangan pendidikan sebagai anak bangsa.
Bupati juga memaparkan bahwa dalam pembangunan yang menjadi perhatian serius adalah kesejahteraan sosial sebagaimana diamanatkan oleh Undang-Undang Nomor 11 tahun 2009 Tentang Kesejahteraan Sosial terdapat 27 kelompok pasal kesejahteraan sosial PMKS, salah satu diantaranya penyandang disabilitas.
Penyandang disabilitas adalah warga negara Indonesia yang mempunyai hak dan kedudukan yang sama seperti warga negara yang lain sebagaimana diatur dalam pasal 5 Undang-Undang Nomor 4 Tahun 1997 Tentang Penyandang Cacat bahwa setiap penyandang cacat mempunyai hak dan kesempatan yang sama dalam aspek kehidupan dan penghidupan. Data di Kabupaten Cirebon menunjukkan angka 10.017 orang penyandang disabilitas yang terdiri dari penyandang disabilitas fisik, disabilitas mental dan disabilitas ganda yaitu disabilitas fisik dan mental. Sementara SLB yang ada di Kabupaten Cirebon baru ada 11 dari 40 kecamatan. Untuk itu kita akan membangun minimal 2 sekolah luar biasa per Kecamatan.
Selesai sambutan, Bupati Cirebon menyerahkan bantuan satu buah laptop kepada kepala sekolah YBB sebagai alat penunjang dalam menjalankan tugasnya sebagai guru.
Ketua Yayasan Beringin Bhakti Drs. H. A. Halim Faletehan, MM., menyampaikan bahwa bersama yayasan-yayasan lain yang ada di Kabupaten Cirebon menginginkan adanya forum lokakarya penilaian sejauh mana dalam bidang pendidikan, sejauhmana dalam bidang sosial, sejauh mana dalam bidang kesehatan, sejauhmana dalam bidang ketenagakerjaan bisa membantu penyandang cacat ini sehingga mereka mandiri dan sejahtera.
Dalam kegiatan tersebut hadir Kepala Bidang PLB Provinsi Jawa Barat H. Tiko Suharwanto, Dinas Sosial Kabupaten Cirebon Drs. H. Dadang Tresnayadi, MM, Kepala Kesehatan Kab. Cirebon, Kepala Disnakertrans Kab. Cirebon, Guru SLB, ABL, YBB dan tamu undangan lainnya
