Dalam rangka peningkatan prestasi di bidang keolahragaan, Sabtu tanggal 29 November 2014 bertempat di Desa Lurah Kecamatan Plumbon, Bupati Cirebon Drs. H. Sunjaya Purwadisastra, MM. M.Si membuka secara resmi Turnamen Bola Volley se-Wilayah 3 yang diikuti oleh 60 klub bola volley yang digelar selama 2 hari dengan tujuan untuk mencari bibit bibit olahragwan khususnya di cabang bola volley.
Kegiatan tersebut dihadiri oleh Muspika Kecamatan Plumbon, Jajaran KONI Kabupaten Cirebon, Kuwu se-Kecamatan Plumbon dan sejumlah undangan lainnya.
Ketua Panitia sekaligus pejabat Kuwu Lurah Hartono pada laporannya mengatakan kegiatan turnamen Bola Volly Luber Cup I mempunyai tujuan untuk mencari bibit bibit di bidang bola volly juga sebagai ajang prestasi bagi para atlit dan officiel dalam meningkatkan pretati dalam clubnya.
Kegiatan ini merupakan hasil kerja bareng antar pihak Karang Taruna dengan pengembang perumahan family dan diikuti peserta berjumlah 60 club yang berdomisili se-Wilayah 3 Cirebon dengan menggunakan sistem gugur.
Bupati Cirebon Drs. H. Sunjaya Purwadisastra, MM. M.Si pada saat itu mengatakan turnamen merupakan uji nyali dan uji prestasi bagi para atlit dan klubnya serta merupakan ajang untuk menimba pengalaman bertanding, sehingga pada saatnya nanti para atlit akan dapat menambah pengalaman bagaimana menghadapi lawan bertandingnya. Turnamen ini juga merupakan salah satu sarana bagi para atlit untuk saling mengenal, menambah wawasan bertanding dan merupakan gambaran prestasi bagi para atlit itu sendiri.
