Bupati Cirebon Drs. H. Sunjaya Purwadisastra, MM. M.Si melepas secara langsung para Kafilah Musabaqo Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) Kabupaten Cirebon sebanyak 90 orang terdiri dari pembina, peserta, dan official untuk mengikuti kejuaraan MTQ Tingkat Provinsi ke-33 yang berlangsung di Kabupaten Kuningan, Jumat (21/03/2014) di Ruang Paseban, Setda Kabupaten Cirebon.
Ketua LPTQ Kabupaten Cirebon, H. Dudung Mulyana, menyampaikan bahwa MTQ bertujuan mengembangkan bacaan Alqur’an ditengah masyarakat demi kelestarian syi’ar dan terwujudnya penghayatan dan pengamalan isi kandungannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan terpeliharanya bacaan dan seni baca Alqur’an sebagai khasanah kebudayaan Islam, berkembangnya semangat dan usaha pengembangan serta pembinaan bakat-bakat seni baca Alqu’an, hafalan Alqur’an, tafsir Alqur’an, pemahaman Alqu’an, seni kaligrafi dan pengamalam isi Alqu’an. Terpilihnya qori-qori’ah , hafidz hafidzoh dan penafsir-penafsir Alqu’an terbaik untuk melanjutkan karirnya ditingkat lebih tinggi.
Bupati Cirebon Drs. H. Sunjaya Purwadisastra MM.M.SI dalam sambutannya menyampaikan bahwa peran Lembaga pengembangan Tilawatil Qur’an (LPTQ) Kabupaten Cirebon sudah cukup maksimal dala mempersiapkan para peserta di berbagai cabang yang dimusabaqahkan dalam mengikuti MTQ Tingkat Provinsi Jawa Barat ke XXXIII .
Bupati mengharapkan kepada pimpinan kafilah dan para Pembina agar selalu memberikan semangat dan dorongan kepada seluruh peserta dan diharapkanterjalinnya hubungan yang harmonis dilandasi saling pengertian diantara peserta, pembina dan pimpinan kafilah dan mengedepankan pola asah, asih dan asuh sehingga tercipta kekompakan dalam semangat kebersamaan dengan satu tujuan berjuang untuk tampil maksimal meraih prestasi terbaik.
Hadir dalam pelepasan tersebut, Ketua DPRD Kabupaten Cirebon, Muspida Kab. Cirebon, Kepala OPD Ka. Cirebon, Kepala Kemenag Kab. Cirebon, Ketua MUI Kab. Cirebon, Ketua Pengiriman MTQ Kabupaten Cirebon, para Peserta MTQ, Tokoh Masyarakat dan undangan lainnya.
