Peringatan Hari Lingkungan Hidup

_DSC6228Bertempat di halaman kantor BLHD Kabupaten Cirebon pada tanggal 15 Juni 2015 dilaksanakan peringatan Hari Lingkungan Hidup Nasional tingkat Kabupaten dengan tema “Seven Billion Dreams, One Planet, Consume With Care” dapat diartikan secara bebas  adalah “Mimpi dan Aksi Bersama untuk Keberlanjutan Bumi” yang sebelumnya telah diadakan berbagai perlombaan diantaranya lomba cerdas cermat, lomba daur ulang sampah dan pada acara tersebut juga telah dilaksanakan pameran produksi ramah lingkungan dan penukaran sampah dengan sembako. Adapun tujuan dari pelaksanaan kegiatan tersebut untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat pada lingkungan.

Hadir pada saat itu jajaran BLHD, Camat se-Kabupaten Cirebon, Kepala Dinas se-Kabupaten Cirebon, perwakilan guru dan murid sekolah pemenang lomba, para peduli lingkungan dan sejumlah undangan

Bupati Cirebon Drs. Sunjaya Purwadi Sastra, MM, M.Si dalam sambutanya mengatakan diperkirakan pada tahun 2015 ini penduduk bumi berkisar diangka 7 milyar dengan berbagai kompleksitas kegiatan yang membutuhkan eksploitasi sumber daya alam yang ada. Tidak hanya sumber daya alam yang akan habis namun juga memberikan dampak kepada pelestarian lingkungan. Diperlukan perubahan pola konsumsi dan gaya hidup penduduk bumi untuk menstabilkan tingkat penggunaan sumber daya dan mengurangi dampak lingkungan. Perubahan pola konsumsi dan gaya hidup itu biasa dilakukan dengan semakin effisiensi dan hemat dalam penggunaan barang dan energi serta mengurangi limbah makanan.

Kepala BLHD Kabupaten Cirebon, Ita Rohpitasari menjelaskan kedua kegiatan tersebut merupakan tindakan  nyata guna menumbuhkan kesadaran lingkungan sejak usia dini dan pihaknya terus melakukan terobosan baru dengan menggalakan bank sampah yang dimulai dari Kecamatan Sumber terlebih dahulu melalui pemilahan sampah menjadi komoditi yang bernilai ekonomis. Intinya dua-duanya adalah bagaimana meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan sedini mungkin dari anak sekolah yang akan melibatkan dunia usaha. Kemudian juga dalam Hari Lingkungan di Kabupaten Cirebon kita akan launching Bank Sampah Sumber Sehati yang ada di Sumber.

Direktur Utama (Dirut) Bank Sampah Sumber Sehati, Yayan Hendriyan mengatakan, pengelolaan sampah harus dimulai dari rumah tangga. harus bisa memilah mana sampah organik dan mana sampah bukan organik. Jika sudah dipilah dari rumah tangganya, kami selaku pengelola bank sampah akan mudah mengolah sampah-sampah tersebut. Misal sampah organik jadi pupuk dan sebagainya, dan sampah non-organik jadi produk kerajinan, Di samping mampu memilah sampah, langkah paling baik adalah diet kantong plastik. Sebab kantong plastik tergolong ke dalam jenis sampah yang cenderung merusak lingkungan. Adapun bank sampah sumber sehati, telah beroperasi lebih dari setahun. Bank sampah tersebut bisa menampung sampah-sampah dari kalangan rumah tangga dan sekolah untuk kemudian diolah menjadi barang-barang bernilai ekonomi.

Dalam peringatan hari lingkungan hidup tersebut telah dilaksanakan kegiatan lomba cerdas cermat dengan juara sebagai berikut :

Juara pertama lomba cerdas cermat tingkat SMP diraih SMP Negeri 1 Sumber, kedua dan ketiga direbut SMPN  1 Palimanan  dan SMPN 2 Ciledug, sedangkan lomba daur ulang sampah untuk juara satu diraih SMAN Astanajapura, kedua SMAN Suranenggala Tim A dan juara tiga diraih SMAN Babakan Tim B.
