Dalam rangka peringatan hari Proklamasi Kemerdekaan RI ke-69 pada tanggal 12 Agustus 2014 dilaksanakan kegiatan donor darah bagi PNS, TNI, dan POLRI, yang dilaksanakan di ruang rapat Paseban Setda Kabupten Cirebon. Kegiatan dimaksud merupakan rangkaian kegiatan untuk memperingati hari Proklamasi Kemerdekaan RI ke-69 juga merupakan kegiatan kemanusiaan, karena setetes darah bagi si sakit merupakan suatu pernghidupan.
Sekretaris PMI Kabupaten Cirebon Drs. H. Yuniawan mengatakan kegiatan ini merupakan rangkaian kegiatan peringatan HUT Proklamasi Kemerdekaan RI yang ke-69, selain itu donor darah merupakan suatu kegiatan sosial kemanusiaan dimana antara yang mendonorkan dan yang mendapat donor sama-sama mendapatkan faedah, kelebihan kandungan darah akan mengakibatkan berbagai masalah bagi kesehatan sehinggga untuk menetralisir hal tersebut tentunya kita perlu cari jalan keluar diantaranya donor darah, sedangkan bagi si sakit darah tersebut sangat dibutuhkan dan pada akhirnya antara pendonor dan yang menerima donor saling ada keterkaitan. Kegiatan tersebut diikuti oleh 2500 orang yang terdiri dari PNS, TNI, POLRI, anggota dharma wanita persatuan serta para pelajar. (Edys/Benandi -Diskominfo)
