Dalam rangka menghadapi berbagai kemungkinan yang terjadi akibat alam dan perubahan cuaca yang begitu ekstrem, Pemerintah Kabupaten Cirebon mengadakan rapat Koordinasi antar dinas terkait. Senin tanggal 22 Desember 2014 di ruang Paseban, Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Cirebon. Kegiatan tersebut dimaksudkan agar Dinas terkait siap siaga bilamana terjadi hal-hal diluar prediksi yang sangat tidak kita inginkan.
Hadir pada kesempatan itu Sekda Kabupaten Cirebon, Kepala Dinas Sosial, dan Kepala Dinas lainnya. Disamping itu juga turut hadir Kabag Kesra Setda Kabupaten Cirebon, Tagana, PMI dan unsur terkait.
Sekertaris Daerah Kabupaten Cirebon mengatakan, dalam menghadapi musim penghujan kali ini kita sebagai Aparatur Pemerintah dalam rangka mensejahterakan masyarakat serta melindungi masyarakat dari bahaya bencana alam, tentu kita mesti siaga mengingat hal-hal tersebut bisa saja terjadi karena ulah manusia itu sendiri, disamping faktor alam.
Hal yang perlu kita waspadai diantaranya adalah di daerah-daerah yang setiap tahun sering terjadi banjir, longsor maupun lainnya. Jika terjadi hal yang demikian, dalam hal ini bahaya longsor, banjir maupun kejadian yang berkaitan dengan bencana alam kita dapat segera untuk memberikan bantuan dengan cara menyiapkan tempat pengungsian yang aman bagi masyarakat yang terkena dampak dari bencana alam tersebut. Kegiatan ini dilanjutkan dengan evaluasi kejadian bencana di tahun-tahun sebelumnya dan memprediksi kesiapan bilamana terjadi bencana alam.
