Jumat (23/03), Wakil Bupati Cirebon H. Ason Sukasa, Sm.Hk meresmikan pusat perbelanjaan Ramayana/Robinson yang berlokasi di Jalan Raya Plered Kecamatan Plered.
Pada kesempatan tersebut hadir Direktur Utama Ramayana/Robinson Plered beserta jajarannya, para pejabat Pemda Kabupaten Cirebon, Kepala Dinas terkait, Camat Plered serta sejumlah undangan lainnya.
Direktur Ramayana/Robinson, Setiadi Surya menyatakan kehadiran swalayan Ramayana/Robinson di Kabupaten Cirebon bukanlah untuk mempersempit ruang gerak para pedagang yang ada di Kabupaten Cirebon. Sebaliknya, ingin menjadikan para pedagang pribumi menjadi mitra usaha Ramayana karena tidak menutup kemungkinan produk lokal Kabupaten Cirebon akan dibutuhkan pada cabang Ramayana yang berada di daerah lain.
Sementara Wabup menegaskan bahwa dengan berjamurnya swalayan yang ada di Kabupaten Cirebon akan menopang kemajuan dari berbagai home industri untuk berpacu meningkatkan mutu produksinya sehingga tidak kalah dengan mutu yang diperdagangkan oleh swalayan. Namun bagi pedagang yang berada di pasar tradisional, keberadaan swalayan tentunya akan menimbulkan kekhawatiran mengingat kenyamanan dan ketertiban di sawalayan tentunya lebih baik dari pasar tradisional sehingga para pembeli akan lebih condong untuk berbelanja di swalayan. Karena itu diharapkan kepada pengusaha swalayan agar dapat merangkul para pedagang kecil maupun home industri sehingga tidak terjadi ketimpangan dalam peredaran ekonomi di Kabupaten Cirebon.
Kegiatan tersebut diakhiri dengan peninjauan lokasi swalayan Ramayana / Robinson.
