Dalam usaha peningkatan sumber daya manusia dalam menghadapi era globalisasai informasi sebanyak 500 anggota KIM (Kelompok Informasi masyarakat) mendapatkan bimbingan teknis inovasi teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dan dibagi dalam 5 kelompok yang dilaksanakan di Hotel Victory dari tanggal 9 – 13 Desember 2013. Kegiatan tersebut bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan bagi anggota kelompok informasi masyarakat di Kabupaten Cirebon sehingga para anggota KIM dapat memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat dengan baik dan benar.
Pada kegiatan tersebut hadir Sekertaris Daerah Kabupaten Cirebon, Kepala Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Kabupaten Cirtebon, para pejabat Diskominfo, anggota Kelompok Informasi Masyarakat serta undangan.
Kepala Bidang SKDI Diskominfo Kabupaten Cirebon, Adang Suryana, S.Sos sebagai ketua pelaksana melaporkan pelaksanaan bimbingan teknis inovasi teknologi bagi kelompok Informasi Masyarakat diikuti oleh 500 orang anggota Kelompok Informasi Masyarakat tiap desa / kelurahan masing-masing satu orang ditambah dengan anggota kelompok informasi masyarakat yang ada di Kecamatan satu orang sehingga peserta bimbingan tersebut adalah 500 orang yang dibagi dalam 5 golongan. Kegiatan ini dimaksudkan untuk menambah wawasan pengetahuan bagi seluruh anggota Kelompok Informasi Masyarakat sehingga dapat diimplementasikan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan sehari-hari serta memotivasi masyarakat dalam keiikutsertaanya dalam pembangunan. Sekretaris daerah pada sambutanya mengatakan dalam era globalisasi informasi masyarakat sangat mudah untuk mendapatkan informasi dalam hitungan detik saja masyarakat sudah bisa mendapatkan informasi bahkan masyarakat tersebut bisa mnendapatkan informasi hanya dari kamar tidur maupun tempat lainnya, dengan kemajuan teknologi informasi ini diharapkan seluruh anggota kelompok informasi masyarakat dapat meningkatkan wawasan pengetahuannnya sehingga dalam memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat bisa lebih baik lagi juga dapat menjadi filter bagi informasi yang diterima masyarakat.
Sekretaris Daerah Kabupaten Cirebon H. Dudung Mulyana Msi dalam sambutannya mengatakan kelompok informasi masyarakat yang merupakan mitra kerja Diskominfo yang dalam kegiatan sehari-harinya menangani masalah informasi tentunya sudah sewajarnya mereka semua mendapatkan pembekalan materi tentang kemajuan teknologi informasi sehingga para aggota kelompok informasi masyarakat dapat lebih meningkatkan pengetahuannya dalam memotivasi masyarakat dalam pembangunan yang ada di Kabupaten Cirebon.
Kegiatan tersebut dilanjutkan dengan penyampaian materi dari para nara sumber dan diakhiri dengan sesi diskusi serta tanya jawab.
