Dalam rangka menciptakan suasana kondusif di Kabupaten Cirebon menjelang bulan suci Ramadhan, Wakil Bupati Cirebon bersama Wakapolres, Dandim 0620, Ketua Pengadilan, Kejaksaan, anggota DPRD, Kepala Dinas Kesehatan serta tokoh agama melakukan pemusnahan barang bukti minuman keras dan narkoba dari hasil operasi Kepolisian pada Kamis pagi, 12 Juli 2012 di GOR Ranggajati Sumber.
Wakapolres Cirebon, Kompol Andriansah, S.Ik melaporkan bahwa dalam operasinya mendapatkan minuman keras berbagai jenis sebanyak 4.244 botol, narkotika jenis ganja 4 kg, sabu-sabu 0.75 gram, heroin 4,83 gram, pil dekstro 17.000 butir dan makanan kadaluarsa jenis pilus sebanyak 8 ton. Beliau juga menyampaikan bahwa tugas pokok fungsi kepolisian adalah memelihara keamanan dan ketertiban masyarakat, menegakkan hukum serta perlindungan dan pengayoman terhadap masyarakat. Beliau juga menyampaikan 3 musuh yang merusak masyarakat yaitu terorisme, KKN dan Miras serta Narkotika. Beliau mengharapkan peran serta masyarakat untuk bekerja sama dengan pihak kepolisian dalam menjaga ketertiban dan keamanan di lingkungan masing-masing.
Sementara itu Bupati Cirebon dalam sambutan yang dibacakan oleh Wakil Bupati H. Ason Sukasa Sm.Hk menyampaikan 4 hal yang perlu digaris bawahi yaitu pencegahan, penegakan hukum, terapi, dan rehabilitasi serta pemulihan. Bupati juga mengajak semua lapisan masyarakat untuk meningkatkan intensitas dan eksensitasnya agar hasilnya lebih nyata dan lebih baik lagi. Dikatakan pula bahwa tugas besar itu merupakan tanggung jawab kita semua, para pemimpin agama, para tokoh masyarakat, para pimpinan dunia usaha, jajaran pemerintah baik pusat maupun daerah dan tentunya para penegak hukum. Bupati juga berpesan untuk meningkatkan kepedulian memerangi dan melawan narkoba serta minuman keras.
